Deluxe Black Utility Kilt

Ripstop Fabric

DON'T forget to see our Size Chart to see how to measure for our Utility Kilts!

The ripstop is a lightweight, extremely durable fabric that is used in a variety of very demanding situations.

It is extremely easy to tell it is ripstop as you can see little squares in the fabric.

Need more than just a basic utility kilt?  The UT Kilts Deluxe utility kilt will definitely satisfy your needs.  It is one step up from our standard utility kilt and has a few more features.  The bigger side cargo pockets allow you to hold more than just the basics.  Even if you manage to fill these pockets, there are two back pockets for extra storage and easy access.  The studded front apron on this utility kilt gives it very unique look that will turn heads no matter where you are.  We have kept the side buckles on this kilt to allow a little adjustment in the hip area, but also add some flair to the utility kilt.  Still made from a highly durable poly-cotton blend material that can handle just about any situation you might find yourself in.  This kilt is DELUXE for a reason!  Don't hesitate to strap one of these kilts on as it will not disappoint.

  • 2 snap closures (one on the inside)
  • Powder coated black buckles and snaps (blackout)

    Great light weight kilt

Posted by Tripezius on 21st May 2018

80+ degrees, sunny, humid, and chance of rain? This is what you want. I like the style of UT Kilts enough that this was my second purchase. I love the fabric. Lightweight ripstop is exactly what you'd expect. It's light and moves easily. It dries much quicker than others.

    Recommended. Buy one.

Dries quick and wrinkles disappear while hang-drying.

The only potential downside is the black coating on the buttons/buckles might wear. I've worn it several times and washed/hang-dried it. I turn it inside out while washing to minimize wear. I can see, however, a little orange/bronze looking metal showing through on the buckle where it appears the black has worn a bit. Hopefully won't continue much.

When it arrives, don't panic when you see some white-ish stuff along the seams/pleats. It appears that maybe they use some sort of glue to hold the fabric in place while it's stitched. After the first wash, it's gone.

    Thanks UT Kilts!

    Ripstop Deluxe

Posted by Mike on 26th Feb 2018

Excellent- Fits well and is lighter fabric like I'd hoped. I own a regular deluxe and it is a great kilt, but a little heavy for the Texas summers. This one is going to be great. It was a little stiff out of the box but one washing softened it up. It is well constructed and looks better (more Kilty?) than my mountain hardware hiking kilt which is more of a tent fabric. Gonna have to order some other colors. UT Kilts are top notch in my book. I especially like that UT Kilts don't have the extra embroidery and such on them. I'm not into that fashionista label look. Thank UT Kilts.

    Deluxe ripstop kilt

I have worn a kilt for many years now and never thought an everyday kilt could be so lightweight. I'm about to take 6 months off to go hike the AT and this baby is going with me. Very durable. A great buy.
