Help out those in Ukraine by purchasing a tartan designed by Lidiya Nikolaevna Khlystun Clear, a native born Ukranian.  You can find more information below.  You can choose from our premium or standard traditional kilts.

Tartan Information

From the designer of this tartan: "Capturing the true blue of Ukrainian People, this design integrates the black for the rich fertile soil of the Ukrainian farm lands, and the gold for the fields of wheat, the deep blue of the sky above. These three items combine to make Ukraine a land of glorious bounty.

About the Designers: Lidiya Nikolaevna Khlystun Clear was born, raised, and lived most of her life in Ukraine; and still has family and many friends there. Her grandfather was a survivor of the Auschwitz Nazi Concentration Camp; so, as for many Ukrainian people, their fight for survival is close and personal. Lidiya is an RN, and considers herself a medical missionary wherever God places her. Her time spent with Roma people in Ukraine helped establish her love for mixed media tapestries. Lidiya lives in the US now with her husband Kelly, and their five children. Kelly is part Scotsman and lives in kilts.

Lidiya hopes for this design to provide hope and inspiration for her country, as well as serve as a reminder to the world of the strength of the Ukrainian people. We WILL have our freedom!! "

Sizing / Measuring

It is extremely important you follow our measuring video and order the size you need based on your measurement, not pants size. All of men's pants are labeled 2-4 inches smaller than what they actually measure. Please see our measuring video below or checkout or measuring page here.

The size that you choose for your order will be the smallest setting on the buckle straps (i.e. a size 36 adjusts from a 36 up to just under a 39.5).  Depending on where you want the buckle to end on your waist will determine your size.  A good rule of thumb to follow is to go down 1-2 inches from your measured waist size.  That will put you in the middle of the buckle straps (i.e. 39 or 40 measured would order a 38).

You MUST measure in order to get the correct size.  Please visit our measuring section of the website to determine which size is best for you.  DO NOT use your pants or jeans size to determine your kilt size.

Returns

If you follow our measuring video in the videos section below, you will get a kilt that fits.  Because this is a custom order item it is not eligible for returns or exchanges due to mis-measuring.

You must complete all required boxes and agreements.

Fly plaid and Ladies Sash

The fly plaid is worn with a kilt jacket over the left shoulder.  Typically it is only worn for very formal events.

The Ladies sash can be worn in many different ways, but is most commonly worn over the shoulder and then pinned near the hip.

It is recommended to order these now if you ever think you will want them.  Ordering them later is possible, but they may or may not be from the same die lot of fabric you currently have.

This item is a special order, custom made item.  It is not in stock.  it can take up to 10 weeks to arrive, though we try to keep the average to 4-5.  Once it is finished, typical shipping is 2-3 days (though it can take up to 5 in some rare cases). Optional 2 day and overnight shipping is available. Prices can be seen in your cart or at checkout.  If you need a rush order done or overnight delivery for Saturday, please reach out to us directly using our contact page.
