Standard II Olive Green Modern Utility Kilt
DON'T forget to see our Size Chart to see how to measure for our Utility Kilts!
This UTK Standard II utility kilt is the other standard $50 dollar kilt that is available. We took the design on this kilt a little further away from traditional and it ended up in group of its own. The traditional belt buckles were removed. Snaps were also added to the front apron. Each of the side cargo pockets were made bigger so as to allow larger cell phones to be carried inside the pocket as well as outside. This kilt just plain rocks. You will not find better quality or a lower price on a similar kilt. Don't wait to get this amazing kilt in all the colors available. Kilt up, kilt on, and don't look back!
Features for this design include:
- Studded front apron
- Cargo pockets now have TWO cell phone pockets

My first kilt that fit and was capable of going out in. Previous purchases didnt fit or were not made well enough to go out in public. Thanks Brice for helping me get the correct size. Working with customer service is above the normal. Quality of material and hardware is exceptional. Material is much heavier than most work Jean's I wear. I will try to wear this as an everyday kilt, I do Carpentry and classic auto restoration and the freedom of movement is so comfortable. My friends were a little shocked when I wore to the pub and there was some teasing but mostly thought it looked comfortable. The pockets are large enough for all my usual items without using a sparrow, which I cannot get used to smacking me in the lower abdomen area...how does a person get used to that? I would like to have buttons vs the snaps on the cargo pockets. As the buttons loosen it's a little easier but the stress on the materials is still present with snaps.
I washed on delicate and hung to dry. Looks great. I will buy another one while this one being washed.
I received the kilt. Tried it on, washed it and hung dried it. 2 problems. 1. the apron snaps don't line up. The apron snaps can't be used because the 2 halves simply don't line up. They are about an 1" out of alignment.
2. the color has a sheen to it. It doesn't look anything like the picture.
Thanks for your review! Any sheen on the fabric will fade over time. The snaps may be slightly off depending on how you sized it but it should be snug when snapping those. That is the point. That way it gives you good coverage if it is windy. You don't snap those unless it is windy.
I got this to wear with my boy scout leader uniform, and it matches very well, that I've been asked if it's official uniform! The pockets are great and it's very comfortable in a meeting or on a hike.
This is my first purchase from UT Kilts, it will not be my last. Kilt arrived very fast fits perfect and look very good. Thanks Brice and team.
I think the overall quality is great. I have one of the standard utility kilts that I love. I only gave 4 stars because I am undecided as to weather I like the lack of buckle straps and the addition of the three snaps I’m front.
This is my first kilt and I wear it everywhere around the house when I'm not working. I like it so much I bought a camo on afterwards.
I love the product
Same sturdy construction as all other kilts from this manufacturer. The lack of buckle straps really does make on/off easier, I would recommend wearing a belt. The lower front snaps keep everything well in order, although might be a little restrictive if you have especially large thighs. The only drawback I can think of is the cotton/poly blend as opposed to the cotton on other models. That's literally the sole complaint I can think of, great kilt, I will likely buy more.
After getting needed information from Brice, I placed my order. I was wearing it three days later. 2 days later I took it to the mountains for eclipse. Very comfortable, heavy "canvas" (I guess), so rugged. Do measure carefully! My pants size is 40, kilt 44. A lot of fun to wear, and will make a great Boy Scout kilt.
I thing I'm going to do it tack down the front bottom of each cargo pocket. Others may have no trouble at all, but I need two hands to open the heavy duty snaps.
If you're looking for a great quality kilt at a very reasonable price, you can't go wrong with the Standard II.
