The Highlander Grey is the 4th of these kilts I've purchased. They are the most comfortable kilts I own, and I own many.
I got this one a week ago. It's stylish and really confortable with lots of pockets. I couldn't resist ordering a couple more with different tartans.
Fits perfectly--absolutely true to size if you follow their instructions how to measure. I'm a tall female, and most women's kilts are far too short for me; I was concerned that a man's kilt might not fit right on the hips (this one does) and/or might look too "butch" (this one isn't too 'manly'). Overall, I'm very pleased with the kilt--good quality, LOTS of pockets, nice fabric, fast delivery.
Hi Brice.I received my Kilt last week and I like it. At the grocery I wore it with a simple white collar shirt , sleeves rolled up, and cotton vest. A very cute (way to young for me) girl actually said hi three times. Your results may vary, but my wife said I'm not allowed to be in that outfit unsupervised. You should think of this as a nice pair of docker's.So casual to semi formally. I measured my waist at 35.5 and ordered a 36. I could have done a 34 with the comfort waist. After the grocery store, no way I'm sending this back. The pocket system is the same as a pair of cargo pants. Don't put more than one thing in each pocket. The cloth is light. A single layer can be seen through.( Three layers are covering your junk. With the hidden pocket.) This makes the air flow excellent. I had a family dinner at my house on Sunday. I had this kilt on from eight AM (after my bicycle ride) until eight thirty at night with a v-neck white T-shirt. I did add my cotton vest for serving and eating dinner. It was comfortable and functional the entire time.I did all the cooking as well as playing with my dogs and grandchildren. It was comfortable the entire time. The belt I'm using is a 1.9 inch tactical belt with a Ka-bar Jarosz turac. I need to find a more compact side arm or possibly more refined. The lighter material makes me think a morakniv maybe better. My Bear cat 22LR looks really nice with the short barrel. One more thing I really wanted to say is that this kilt should be rolled up instead of hung. If you look up Gray John's vid's, he shows it, but you role it so the top stayed level. The kilt is inside out. When you go to put it on, you hold the role in the left hand, behind your back, take the end with your right hand, and unroll it around your body. This should mean when you're left hand gets to the end of the Kilt, the inner apron should be able to moved across your front in your right hand. Then snap it on The front apron. This method works best for Kilts below 13oz wool, or below 10oz duct cloth. kilts Above these, a Kilt hanger is better. When you have more kilts, try it and you'll see why. This kilt fills an area where I want to be casual, but still the center of attention.
